Employment: Service writer

Position is primarily responsible for coordinating the smooth, timely, and efficient processing of all service work orders. Keeping all service-related paperwork up to date and moving throughout the company’s processing system is an integral part of this position. In addition to caring for company inventory, assisting with guest sales, and working as a liaison between customers and the company.

POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consult and interpret customer needs for the mechanics
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all automotive service and repair matters
• Understand customers’ problems and arrange for appropriate service
• Advise customers on preventative maintenance and other services they may need
• Explain proper repair procedures to customers
• Follow company warranty guidelines
• Prioritize required services and offer options
• Set and manage the expectations of the service delivery for both the customers and mechanics
• Regularly keep the customer updated on repair needs, proper procedures and completion times
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles
• Assist with minor tech duties
• Assist with vehicle deliveries
• Conduct work through variety of computer system programs
• Assist the sales people in the care of guests and prepare vehicles for sale.
• Maintain knowledge of the entire inventory of Easton Motors vehicles
• Utilize customer relationship management software to manage tasks and assignments. AMS system
• Assist with general store cleaning and maintenance, including all public areas, inside and out.
• Maintain cleanliness of lot inventory and move vehicles on the lot to present a positive curb appeal for potential and existing customers. Including Washing, adding gas, snow removal, starting and driving to keep vehicles batteries performing well.
• Process payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data. Preparing bank deposits
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

• High school diploma preferred

Experience:

• Pervious service advisor experience required
• Service writing experience required
• Intermediate computer skills required

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Valid driver’s license required
